Day 5: Basel, Switzerland to Breisach, Germany (59.3 km)
Accomplished something big on this day. Managed to be in three countries at once, thanks to the Dreiländerbrücke, which connects Germany, Switzerland, and France. Neil has a fantastic video of Jess trying to figure out which country is where. Yes, it IS possible for France to be here, there, and everywhere.
Other than that, the ride was flat, flat, flat. The Rhine was our faithful companion throughout, and we trundled into town just in time to catch the most magnificent of all sunsets. In fact, if we had to pick one photo to represent the entire trip, that view would be it. We were so chuffed that we wolfed down our dinners and drank two ginormous beers, bitte.
